5 Benefits of using a pore scrubber
There are lots of reasons why pore scrubbing is a great way to level up your skincare routine. Let’s look at five benefits:
Known as sebum, if you have oily skin, you’ll be very familiar with this substance. It’s released by the sebaceous glands in your skin and made up of fatty acids and waxes. Even if you don’t have oily skin, you will still get a build-up of sebum in certain areas of your face. Too much sebum can lead to skin breakouts and acne.
When excess sebum mixes with dead skin cells, it can cause follicles to bulge, leading to whiteheads (closed pores) or block, leading to blackheads (open pores). How to use ScrubUp
You can find detailed instructions on how to use the ScrubUp on our website, but here’s a quick guide to the three modes:
- CLEANSE
Remove any makeup and splash a little water onto your face. Hold the button down for 3 seconds to switch on and glide gently across your skin, avoiding the delicate areas around your lips and eyes. Don’t press too hard or repeat on the same area more than twice. Once you’re done, rinse your face with warm water and pat dry. Apply your favourite serum or moisturiser. We recommend scrubbing up 2 - 3 times a week for the best results.
- MOISTURISE
After you’ve applied your favourite moisturiser or serum, you can then hold the button down until you select Moisturising Mode. Using the flat side of the metal spatula, glide upwards across your skin using a gentle pressure, as above. Once you’ve covered your whole face, press and hold to switch off your device. Wipe clean the spatula using soap and water.
- LIFT
After moisturising, hold the power button until you activate Lifting Mode. Follow exactly the same instructions as above. It’s that simple! If it’s your first time, you’ll soon wonder why you’ve never scrubbed your pores before.
