GetLit® is an LED face mask by MAGNITONE London. It has red, yellow and blue LED light settings. The mask is lightweight, visor-style and is USB rechargeable.

As a healing/stimulating treatment, LED slots in towards the end of your skincare routine. Make sure skin is fully cleansed, complete any exfoliation then LED should fit in there, before you nourish with serums, moisturisers and SPF.

Blue LED light therapy targets oil producing follicles, making them less active. It decongests below the skin’s surface and regular use can treat spots, blemishes and reduce the appearance of scars. At the shortest wavelength, blue LED light works at the surface of the skin and has been shown to reduce the bacteria that causes acne. It’s important to remember that there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to acne, or even one type of acne, and blue light therapy is not a guaranteed cure. Yes, LED can be used effectively and safely in conjunction with active skincare products. Your wider skincare routine is always an important part of LED use and using products with active ingredients is fine, provided that your skin is not reacting to any active ingredients you are using, such as Retinol or Vitamin C.
