If you had just five minutes to get ready what would you do/use?
Ohh that's a tricky one! I would opt for my La Roche-Posay Hydreane BB Cream so I would have some coverage but I am still able to get the moisture and the SPF protection my skin needs. I would also put on some mascara otherwise I would just look really bizarre. My fave go-to mascara is the L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara.
What's your daily cleansing routine, anything you swear by?
I recently posted a video of my night skincare routine on Instagram because I have been so obsessed with dual cleansing. I’ve been using the Dermalogica products every night with the Magnitone Wipe Out Cleansing Cloth
to remove my makeup. I always use my most expensive products at night, for example, serums and products that include retinol for encouraging skin cell turnover. I’ve noticed such a difference when I dual cleanse, I feel like my skin just soaks up all the goodness from my products!
Can you remember the first beauty product you bought in your teens?
It has to be the good ole’ lip smacker lip gloss. I remember using them when I was younger and collecting all the different flavours!
What’s the one product you rely on to take you from office to cocktails?
BB cream! Absolute life saver.
What’s the most expensive, luxury beauty product you own?
I love a good retinol product to help prevent wrinkles before they occur but it’s also a good way to treat acne and reduce pigmentation which I suffered from a lot growing up. The most expensive retinol product I’ve bought has to be the Chantecaille Retinol Intense+ which was over £100! I loved it but since then I’ve opted for cheaper alternatives - Paula’s Choice has some really good choices!
What’s the one product that you have repurchased the most over the years?
I always go back to the Arbonne liquid foundation - I can’t find another foundation that works as well on my skin!
Who are your beauty icons and why?
SunKissAlba from youtube is one of my biggest inspirations. I love that she revolves her channel all around using natural hair, makeup and skincare products. She was the first person to really get me actively thinking about what I’m putting on my skin and hair.
Can you remember your worst beauty faux pas?
Yes, it has to be when I was in school and I remember clearly the STRUGGLE to find the right shade of foundation (remember Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse?). I would always just go for the most orange colour as I assumed that it would work for my skin tone. So I pretty much looked like an Oompa Loompa 90% of my teenage life!
Which is the one, beauty product that makes you feel at your very best?
If I want to feel good, I turn towards my lipstick collection! A bold red lippie always makes me feel good.
Makeup aside, what else makes you feel beautiful?
Knowledge. A beautiful mind makes a beautiful person.
